A: Daniel "rests" (death). Then stands in his "lot" at the end of these days. 
Q: What comes after the end of those days ending in 1843? 
A: What comes next is 1844. Now Daniel stands in his "lot" before God.
Q: WHY 508 A.D. as the starting point for the 1335 year prophecy? A: The previous verse gave us the 1290 year prophecy....so in context we use the same starting date since none other is given.

What "book" was "sealed" in Prophecy?
"In the Revelation all the books of the Bible meet and end. Here is the complement of the book of Daniel. One is a prophecy; the other a revelation. The book that was sealed is not the Revelation, but that portion of the prophecy of Daniel relating to the last days. The angel commanded, "But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end." Daniel 12:4."

The 2300 Days (Years)
And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days;

of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times....And after threescore and two weeks (483 Years) shall Messiah be cut off,....And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week (3 & a half Years out of 7 Years) he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease.....

“Seventy weeks, representing 490 years, are declared by the angel to be cut off, as specially pertaining to the Jews. 
Q: But from what were they cut off? 
A: As the 2300 days was the only period of time mentioned in chapter 8, it must be the period from which the seventy weeks were cut off; the seventy weeks must therefore be a part of the 2300 days, and the two periods must begin together. 
--The seventy weeks were declared by the angel to date from the going forth of the commandment to restore and build Jerusalem. 
---If the date of this commandment could be found, then the starting point for the great period of the 2300 days would be ascertained.... 
*In 457 B.C., a decree was granted to Ezra by the Persian emperor Artaxerxes Longimanus to go up to Jerusalem with as many of his people as were minded to go with him. The commission granted him an unlimited amount of treasure, to beautify the house of God, to procure offerings for its service, and to whatever else might seem good to him. It empowered him to ordain laws, set magistrates and judges, and execute punishment even unto death; in other words, to restore the Jewish state, civil, and ecclesiastical, according to the law of God and the ancient customs of that people. Inspiration has seen fit to preserve this decree; and a full an accurate copy of it is given in Ezra 7. 
-*-This decree is recorded not in Hebrew, like the rest of the book of Ezra, but in the official Chaldaic, or Eastern Aramaic. Thus we are referred to the original document by virtue of which Ezra was authorized to restore and build Jerusalem. ....close of the 2300 days in the autumn of 1844, stands without impeachment."

That "scale" proves the 2300 "Days" = "Years"
"THE eighth chapter of Daniel is a prophecy of wonderful interest; for it gives the prophetic history of the world from the rise of the Persian Empire till the final destruction of all earthly kingdoms by the God of Heaven.
The succession of earthly empires was presented to the prophet under the symbols of a ram, a goat, and a little horn that became exceeding great.
And when these had been shown to him, he was told by the angel
Gabriel that the ram represented the kingdom of Media and Persia; and that the goat was the kingdom of Grecia; and the horn which became exceeding great, though not called by name, was identified by several decisive facts, among which are these: That it should be the great destroyer of the people of God, and that it should put to death the Prince of princes.
*These facts show that the Roman power is intended.
In connection with these symbols which represent the great empires that have since arisen, the prophet learned the duration of his vision. For he heard Gabriel ask Michael, “How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot? And Michael, who answered the question to Daniel, said: “Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.” Verses 13,14.
*Now, it is plain that the period of twenty-three hundred days cannot be understood to mean so many literal days; for this would not make quite seven years and would cover only a very small part of the duration of one of the three great empires of this vision.
---But we should remember that in this vision the great empires of the world are represented by symbols, and thus are given on a scale which brings them distinctly before the eye of the observer.
It is necessary that the time should be given on a scale that corresponds with this in order not to involve an absurdity. For the Persian, Grecian, and Roman Empires have in all continued between 2000 and 3000 years.
*Now when these empires were represented by beasts, if the time that the empires were to continue was given without a corresponding abatement, then we should have these beasts living a thousand years apiece! This would be absurd. But it would not be absurd to represent them as living and acting that number of days. The days must therefore represent longer periods of time.
--If we compare spiritual things with spiritual, 
we shall find the key to the interpretation of these days.--
*For the different inspired writers were all led by the same Spirit of truth. They were like so many workmen engaged in building a temple.
If we can find the rule which governed one of them, we shall find that same rule governing all the rest in like circumstances.
*Now God gave this rule to Ezekiel in the interpretation of the symbols of his own vision: “I have appointed thee each day for a year.” Ezekiel 4:6."

The Ram & Goat
"Daniel 8:3-4 describes a ram with two horns. Interestingly, one horn grew higher than the other. In verse 20 the archangel Gabriel tells Daniel that the ram with two horns represents the “kings of Media and Persia.” Historically, Persia represented the “higher” horn since it was the dominant power of the Medo-Persian Empire.
This aspect of the vision is a restatement of what had been revealed about the second beast in the previous chapter. Speaking of this second world-dominating power, Daniel 7:5 says, “It was raised up on one side.” The Persian side was higher than the side representing Media. The vision of the second beast in Daniel 7:5 and the ram in Daniel 8:3, 20 both describe the stronger Persian leadership of the Medo-Persian Empire.
In Daniel 8:5-7 a male goat with a large horn between his eyes
suddenly arises from the west and smashes both horns of the ram. The angel Gabriel tells Daniel this goat represents the kingdom of Greece and its large horn is its first king, which would be shown by later history to be Alexander the Great (Daniel 8:21). 
After over 200 years of rule, the Medo-Persian Empire came to an end in 331 B.C.
This prophecy of a male goat, which represents the same kingdom as the third beast of Daniel 7, takes an unusual turn in verse 8. The large horn being broken represents Alexander’s untimely death at the young age of 33. Shortly after conquering all lands from Greece to India, Alexander died. His kingdom was divided into four weaker kingdoms (Daniel 8:8, 22).
Historically, the four divisions were (1) Greece and Macedonia, ruled by Cassander; (2) Asia Minor, ruled by Lysimachus; (3) Egypt and Palestine, ruled by Ptolemy Soter; and (4) Syria, Babylonia and east to India, ruled by Seleucus Nicator."

Little Horn Power--Stretching Through Time
After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great
iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns.
I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, 
--in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, 
--and a mouth speaking great things.
The ten horns are ten kings Who shall arise from this kingdom [out of the Roman Empire]. And another shall rise after them; He shall be different from the first ones, And shall subdue three kings.

"Scripture gives us a geographical place where the antichrist was to arise. 
--The antichrist was to arise among the ten divisions of the Roman Empire.
The Roman Empire was divided into ten divisions between 351 ad and 476 A.D.
This little horn, the antichrist power, was “another” one, or “another” kingdom. (Verse 8, 24)
*The three horns plucked up by the roots represented the Heruli, the Ostrogoths, and the Vandals.... the Heruli were in 493; the Vandals in 534, and the Ostrogoths in 553."

Stretching Through Time:
I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of His head like the pure wool: His throne was like the fiery flame, and His wheels as burning fire. A fiery stream issued and came forth from before Him: thousand thousands ministered unto Him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened. I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spake: I beheld even till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame.

This Little Horn/Beast Entity stretches from when it arose out of Pagan Rome until the end of time.
ONLY ONE ENTITY on earth is around the last two thousand years to be in the running for such;
--It has the same hierarchy structure
--speaks the identical language form then
--the same pomp, circumstance and ceremonies in place
--and wore the saints of the Most High in the  Middle Ages
--as well as thought to change Times and Laws by transferring the solemnity of the 7th day Sabbath to the first day of Sunday.
But in vain they do worship Me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

Identity of the Little Horn/BEAST: 
What Daniel & John Saw
Daniel, living in the time of Babylon, sees the beasts rise out of the water in a specific order. From them stemmed the Little Horn Entity.

John, living in the time of Rome, sees the beast as a mix of the ones of Daniel but lists them in backwards order.
This is the culmination as a mix of this entity as it held to many elements of the 4 nations it came out of.
(Babylon, Persia, Greece, Rome)
Daniel was looking forward in time
....from Babylon.
John was looking backward in time
....from Rome.
BOTH were seeing the same entity.
(This Little Horn / Beast entity would rise up from the ashes of the 4 nations.)
Daniel saw.....

The first was like a lion, and had eagle's wings: I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth,
and made stand upon the feet as a man, and a man's heart was given to it.

A: Obviously by venerating, giving homage to, going along with, his DISOBEDIENCE TO GOD by Law on a Global Scale.

Q: Whose Law?
A: Obviously God's Law.
-2-changed the ordinance,
Q: What Ordinance?
A: The Sabbath Ordinance of the 4th Commandment as they will have globally set up a counterfeit worship day by Law.
-3-broken the everlasting covenant.
Q: How?
A: By disconnecting True Righteousness By Faith - which is Justification (Grace/Forgiveness) and Sanctification (Obedience/Holiness).
*They want the Grace but not the Full Obedience.

A: The Sabbath Ordinance, the 4th Commandment.

1335 & 1290 DAYS (Years)
A) And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away,

But go thou thy way till the end be:
C) for thou shalt rest,

A) 1290 Days--This is considered to begin with the baptism of Clovis-the first establishment in the post-western Roman Empire of a Catholic nation when Clovis was baptized & accepted the breviary of Alaric (which allowed only one religion-Catholicism & went so far as to allow the church to have a say in punishment for violating its dogma & traditions).
*Using a day for a year principle in prophecy---this would begin in 508 A.D. 
*Add 1290 years and you come to 1798. 
---side note---notice it was France (Clovis of the Franks) who first set up the beast & it was France (via Napoleon's orders) that delivered its deadly wound.
SUMMARY: 1290 days/years 508 A.D.- 1798 A.D.
B) 1335 Days-- We are not given a specific starting point for this 1335 days/years. But if one uses common sense, it would be logical to use the same starting point already given for the 1290 days/years since they are lumped together. Hence, 508 A.D. + 1335 years =1843 A.D.
It ends on the eve of 1844--when the 2300 days/years ends & judgment begins.
SUMMARY: 1335 days/years 508 A.D. - 1843 A.D.
C) What is death referred to in Scripture? As sleep, or in other words, rest. Daniel will die (be asleep, resting) in his grave.
D) Standing in his lot, I believe, means his judgment. 
Q: And what comes after the 1335 days/years ending in 1843? 
A: The year 1844 & the beginning of the Judgment....right on time, the end of the days (the 1335 years).
---The word "lot" in Daniel 12:13 has been interpreted by some to mean his inheritance. Others
his judgment based on the use of casting "lots" on the Day of Atonement. Either way......of course both interpretations here would compliment each other....can't receive your inheritance until you pass your judgment...also, since the judgment begins after 1843 (began in 1844), then no one could receive their inheritance until after then.

--In the typical day of atonement under the first covenant the earthly Sanctuary was cleansed at an appointed time once a year, at which time the lot was cast to obtain blood for a sin-offering which the high priest bore into the most holy place to make an atonement for the transgressions of Israel in all their sins. 
--Thus all Israel were in their lot. In the antitypical day of atonement under the new covenant the time appointed for cleansing the Sanctuary is unto 2300 days. This being the day of atonement.
--It was previously declared to Daniel, "Thou shall rest and stand in thy lot at the end of the days." This shows most clearly that both of these periods, viz., the 2300 and 1335 days bring all of God's people in their lot, to be cleansed from all, their sins by the precious blood of Christ in the antitypical day of atonement." Heart of "Babylon"
The 1st beast of Daniel, representing "Babylon", was given the heart of a man....
The first was like a lion, and had eagle's wings:

1260 Days (Years)
"The only rule given us in the Bible is, that when a day is used as a
symbol, it stands for a year. Eze.4:6; Num.14:34. The ordinary Jewish year, which must be used as the basis of reckoning, contained three hundred and sixty days. Three years and a half contained twelve hundred and sixty days. Each day standing for a year, we have twelve hundred and sixty years for the continuation of this Little Horn.
Q: Did the papacy possess dominion that length of time? 
A: The answer again is Yes.
---The edict of the emperor Justinian, dated A.D. 533, made the bishop of Rome the head of all the churches. But this edict could not go into effect till the Arian Ostrogoths, the last of the three horns that were plucked up to make room for the papacy, were driven from Rome, and this was not accomplished till A.D. 538. The edict would have been of no effect had this latter event not been accomplished; hence from this latter year we are to date, as this was the earliest point where the saints were in reality in the hands of this power. From this point did the papacy hold supremacy for twelve hundred and sixty years? Exactly.
---At the close of the long period of its blasphemous and bloody rule, judgment finally sits upon the papacy. The time had come for the prophetic words of Rev.13:10, to be fulfilled: He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity; he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. 
---From A.D. 538, the clearly defined date for the commencement of this prophetic period, measures 1260 years, and we are brought to
A.D. 1798, when Berthier, a French general, entered Rome, proclaimed a Republic, took the pope a prisoner, and for a time abolished the papacy. And it has never since enjoyed the privileges and immunities which it possessed before."

A time is one year = 360 days
Times are two years = 720 days
Half a time is half a year = 180 days
Therefore the total = 1260 days
A month in prophecy is equal to 30 days, therefore forty-two months is equal to 42 x 30 = 1260 days.
So we can see that these seven texts are talking about the same period of time.

henceforward given into his hands, for a time times and half a time, {Dan. 7:25} or three times and an half; that is, for 1260 solar years, reckoning a time for a calendar year of 360 days, and a day for a solar year." Isaac Newton

The Abomination of Desolation 
spoken of by Daniel the prophet
When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, 
spoken of by Daniel the prophet,
 stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Then let them which be in Judea flee into the mountains. 
For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. 
Matthew 24: 15, 16, 21

"The key that unlocks the mystery of this prophetic event is found in the first two verses of Daniel. 
In the third year of the reign of Jehoiakim king of Judah came Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon unto Jerusalem, and beseiged it. And the Lord gave Jehoiakim king of Judah into his hand, with part of the vessels of the house of God: which he carried into the land of Shinar to the house of his god; and he brought the vessels into the treasure house of his god. Daniel 1:1,2. 
In these two short sentences Daniel provides a concise historical background to the remainder of the book which follows.
Notice where these abominations were committed: the people transgressed very much after all the abominations of the heathen; and polluted the house of the Lord which he had hallowed in Jerusalem. 2 Chronicles 36:14. 
---These abominations were standing in God's consecrated holy place, the "house of the Lord." 
*The religious leaders of the day had purposefully led the people to
adopt heathen worship practices and incorporated them into their worship of God. 
*In substituting for God's commandments the vain notions of men, the leaders of God's heritage provoked His wrath.
*Jeremiah told the people that if they would honor God's seventh-day Sabbath their city would remain forever, and that this faithful obedience would lead them into such a relationship with Himself that they would be used to convert the surrounding heathen nations (ch. 17:19-26).
On the other hand, if they would not keep the Sabbath day holy God would allow their city to be desolated. But if ye will not hearken unto Me to hallow the Sabbath day, and not to bear a burden, even entering in at the gates of Jerusalem on the Sabbath day; then I will kindle a fire in the gates thereof, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem, and it shall not be quenched. (v. 27). 
In Ezekiel 8, the prophet was brought by vision to the door of the inner gate. God proceeded to show his servant the progressively greater outrages His people were committing. 
*He speaks of an image that provoked Him to jealousy. In an escalation of outrage, unclean beasts had been brought into the house of God, women were weeping for Tammuz and the greatest abomination of all was twenty-five men standing in God's holy place with their backs toward the temple of the Lord, and their faces toward the east; and they worshipped the sun toward the east. Ezekiel 8:16. Daniel himself agrees that it was the sins committed by God's people that caused their desolation. .... open thy eyes, and behold our desolations...Daniel 9:18.

The next one we shall consider is the one that concerns the second Jewish temple period. 
--After their release from Babylonian captivity and rebuilding the city and temple, the Jewish leaders erected a mountain of rules and regulations designed to protect them from repeating the sins that had led to their bondage. 
*The fourth commandment's seventh-day Sabbath became a
special object of amendment. The Jews reasoned that since it was transgression of the Sabbath that led to their captivity, they needed to define in minute detail how the Sabbath should be kept. Over 500 rules concerning Sabbath keeping eventually resulted. Some of these Sabbath laws were as ridiculous as this: one could not leave an egg in the sun on the Sabbath because the sun might cook it, and cooking on the Sabbath was a violation of the fourth commandment. *Of course, this only resulted in a system of pure legalism. Ultimately the people were led full circle to disobedience again. Jesus comments that in spite of their apparent religiosity they were still breaking God's law even as their forefathers had during Isaiah's and Daniel's day. Well hath Isaiah prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoreth Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me. Howbeit in vain do they worship Me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men... full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition... making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered. Mark 7:6-13. 
*Even though their apostasy expressed itself in legalism instead of laxness, it was still based on the same principle upon which all pagan religions are based - that man can save himself by his own works. Jesus, like Jeremiah of old, rebuked this religious system and called it an abomination. Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God. Luke 16:15. 
O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings and ye would not! Behold your house is left unto you desolate. Matthew 23:37,38. This prophecy was fulfilled in 70 A.D. when the Roman armies of Titus burned the temple to the ground. This second desolation of the temple perfectly paralleled its first destruction.

Q: Who would be the new nation to receive the kingdom of God and bring forth the fruits thereof? 
A: The Bible provides a clear and concise answer in the apostle Peter's letter to the Gentile converts who "In time past were not a people, but are now the people of God." Of the converts to Christianity, .
*One has to do only a little study to see how image worship,
Tammuz worship, and sun worship were introduced to Christianity during the Dark Ages. Many of these abominations are still with us in the form of statues, candles for the saints, rosary beads, Easter sunrise services and Sunday worship. 
By no means does the papal apostasy exonerate Protestantism. Both Catholicism and Protestantism have fostered abominations in God's holy place, His church. 
*The Christian church is mirroring literal Israel. We are now living in the time of the Christian church's final apostasy, which makes of none effect the commandments of God."

Daniel's PRAYER
The Prayer:
Daniel's prayer is a model of intercessory prayer, characterized by humility, confession, and supplication. It begins with an acknowledgment of God's greatness and faithfulness: "O Lord, the great and awesome God, who keeps His covenant of loving devotion to those who love Him and keep His commandments" Daniel 9:4
Daniel approaches God with reverence, 
recognizing His sovereignty and righteousness.

Confession of Sin:
A significant portion of Daniel's prayer is dedicated to confessing the
sins of Israel. Daniel identifies himself with his people, confessing their collective disobedience and rebellion against God: "We have sinned and done wrong. We have acted wickedly and rebelled; we have turned away from Your commandments and ordinances" 
Daniel 9:5
He acknowledges the justice of God's judgments upon Israel, attributing their suffering and exile to their unfaithfulness.

Appeal for Mercy:
Despite the acknowledgment of sin, Daniel's prayer is filled with hope and an appeal for God's mercy. He pleads for God to turn away His anger and wrath from Jerusalem, His holy city: "O Lord, in keeping with all Your righteous acts, I beseech You, let Your anger and wrath be turned away from Your city Jerusalem, Your holy mountain" 
Daniel 9:16
Daniel appeals to God's compassion and the honor of His name, rather than any merit on the part of the Israelites.

Petition for Restoration:
Daniel's ultimate petition is for the restoration of Jerusalem and the return of the exiles. He asks God to hear his prayer and to act for His own sake: "O Lord, hear! O Lord, forgive! O Lord, listen and act! For Your own sake, O my God, do not delay, because Your city and Your people bear Your name" 
Daniel 9:19
Daniel's prayer reflects a deep longing for the fulfillment of God's promises and the restoration of His people.

Theological Significance:
Daniel's prayer is significant for several reasons. 
--It demonstrates the power of intercessory prayer 
--and the importance of aligning one's requests with God's will and promises. 
Daniel's prayer is rooted in Scripture, showing the importance of understanding God's word and promises.
*It also highlights the themes of repentance, confession, and the need for divine mercy.

But hast lifted up thyself against the Lord of heaven; and they

Daniel 5:23-28 KJV/AMP
"The story of “the writing on the wall” in the Book of Daniel is central to the inspired theme and purpose of the book.
When a mysterious hand wrote this on the wall during a feast, it signified that Belshazzar's kingdom was doomed. 
Each word carries weight: 
"Mene" means the kingdom's end, 
"Tekel" points to moral failures, and 
"Upharsin" indicates the kingdom's division among the Medes and Persians."

MESSAGE / SUMMARY of Book of Daniel
And at that time 
--shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the
children of thy people: 
--and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: 
--and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. 
--And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, 
*some to everlasting life, 
*and some to shame and everlasting contempt. 
Daniel 12:1,2
"When Michael stands up that's it the work in the most holy place of
the Heavenly Sanctuary is complete intercession is over and make no mistake when He stands. It's not a casual act it's a declaration that the time of Mercy is finished -- the world has made its choices -- probation has closed.
Christ's role as our high priest shifts -- He is no longer interceding -- He is judging.
The final coming of Jesus is the culmination of everything He has been working toward as our High Priest.
The Bible is crystal clear that once you die your fate is sealed.  Ecclesiastes 9:5 reminds us for the living know that they shall die but the dead know not anything neither have they anymore reward for the memory of them is forgotten. 
There's no consciousness after death no wandering Soul looking for closure no second chance.
You're simply resting in the grave awaiting either the resurrection to eternal life or Eternal destruction. 
Think of life like a candle burning. You don't know when the flame
will go out but once it does there's no relighting it.
That's why Jesus says to watch to be ready -- not later -- but now -- because death doesn't send you a notice.
Jesus ends a Parable with a command not a suggestion -- Watch therefore for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the son of man cometh Matthew 25:13.
This brings us to the personal close of probation -- your death. 
Hebrews 9:27 tells us and as it is appointed unto men once to die but after this the Judgment. 
You see your individual probation closes when you breathe your last breath -- there's no more preparation after that no more opportunities to change sides or get things right with God now."
